you get jackets styled for wading jackets for coarse fishing i want a jacket for use in a boat ie pockets to hand for all the nesassary items, i have looked at gac stock and can find falt in everything from ron thomson to hardy i will not pay 100 pounds fr something that is not suitable

Best thing to get for a boat is a poncho. Wear it over your normal jacket and all the pockets are there when you need them. Too many pockets in a waterproof means more places to leak, they have to be stitched which means holes. Doesn't matter how much they tape them one of them will leak eventually :) I usually just wear my waistcoat over my normal waterproof, double protection, it's Nikwax TX10 waterproofed :)
Don't worry, be happy.

Carried it in full, then carry it out empty.
