Maybe simple - but after years of fishing I have just realised you can undo a blood knot by pinching the knot right in at the hook and pulling - you can undo the knot! You don't need to use your teeth or cut! Save your dentures folks!

Yes, that works well as long as ye have long nails. Don't bother trying it if you use the tucked half blood (improved clinch knot) though.

The other problem Alex, is you end up with a pig tail that needs to be cut before you tie on another flee, better cutting in the first place I would suggest lochetive.

Totally correct Steve. I did just that at the weekend. "Stripped" the knot out and was left with a pigtail to thread through the eye. Had to snip it.
You would think I would have learned by now :shock:
