Title: Dyed deer hair
Post by: free the bees on April 25, 2019, 09:56:39 PM
Looking for some good quality dyed deer hair particularly in white and brown (light and dark) for muddlers. Anyone know of a good supplier?

Veniard do deer belly hair patches.  They have two shades of brown in the range, a light golden brown and a darker chocolate brown.  The white belly hair patches are natural.

Veniards is as good as anything, the chocolate brown one is nice. It's hard to dye deer hair without losing the buoyancy you want from it because the heat frazzles it but there's is good. Glasgow angling centre also do some that's good but not sure about colours
