I have been having issues with splitting thread to make false hackles as I have seen done on Davie MacPhail videos and on Oliver Edwards DVDs rather than using a dubbing loop. I bought some UTC thread today after finding this forum and reading this topic! I'll see if than makes it any easier.   :)
