What's difference between it and ordinary super glue? Apart from the price that is. Has it got any special properties?

It fills gaps is the main difference to me. That and I don't much care for super glue, it seems to go off long before I finish a bottle.

Couple of times in my lifetime I have bought Zap a Gap or Fishin Glue & in all cases it has gone off before the end.
That along with Aquasure is to my mind is major problem with this sort of thing.
So far the Loons product has lasted a few seasons with no problem.

this stuff is genuinely waterproof. i use it for my saltwater "creations". also very reasonably priced

Tip 1: After using super glues, give the bottle a couple of sharp taps on a hard surface (table)
then put cap on. It does prolong the time before it "seizes up on you" which inevitably it does.
Tip 2: nothing to do with glue but while I am on a roll.
Sharpening scissors :(Household type)
Take an empty glass bottle with reasonable long neck. Hold bottle in hand at wide end & make as if you are trying to cut the sloping neck with the scissors. Do this a few times & it will keep your scissors nice & sharp. An old upholsterers trick.

I think it is the old problem of making sure both surfaces are "clean" and a tight fit. I hate superglue but mostly it is probably because I don't have the patience to follow my own advice.
