Title: a team for peaty water
Post by: col on September 03, 2006, 11:22:03 PM
Been doing a bit fly tying today for my 2nd trip this year up to loch Buidhe a dark peat stained loch with wee dark troot that fight like demons. the team that was most successful for me  in April were clan chief on the top doobry in the middle and ace of spades on the point.successful subs were kate mcclaren and a zulu with a holo -red rib. what flies would you reach for, for a loch in a similar environment?

Hi Col,if it's the Buidhe near loch achlaise i don't think it matter's much really, suicidal little broonie's that will usually snatch at anything small and black, add a butcher and wickham's and your sorted.Although my first approach would be a single bibbio hopper[dry]to get the best enjoyment from these loch's.

All the best

Chris.
