There's been a couple of threads about this but found this stuff ct-1 super fast and it's magic. I'll declare an interest here as the guy who owns he company is a mate of my wife, they do all sorts of solvents, sealers etc for the building trade but he offered me some of his superglue to try via the magic of Facebook. Sets hard and quick and it's good for heads as it sets smooth. Could just use this but I still put a layer of varnish over. Main advantage though is it doesn't clog up after a while, the constant opening and closing of my superglue means that it thickens pretty quickly and becomes crap to work with but apparently this is because most manufacturers use a lot of solvent to pad it out but this superglue only uses 1% solvent so apparently you could leave it open for six months and it still wouldn't dry out (I won't be testing this) how this then dries super fast I can't quite compute  but it's good and it works and you get about 10 times more than you do from loctite, fulling mill etc

Sounds good. Nozzle or brush Andy ?

Lochan_load

Nozzle unfortunately but I've been using a needle, I'll probably transfer it to a bottle with a brush, much prefer it

corsican dave

sounds great! how is it with long term immersion? i'm not expecting an immediate reply to that...

Just had a look at this on u tube, very impressive :P

Lochan_load

Its a nozzle Jim, I've been using a needle but I'll probably transfer it to a bottle brush, much prefer the accuracy you get with a brush

Don't know about immersion, I'll get back to you in October

ordered...... :)

That was a clever trick....where from? I don't see any details of where to go for some. I tried to get some of that stuff Corsican Dave mentioned, but they aren't doing mail order any longer. I refuse to buy Fulling Mill ever again (anything of theirs, bunch of C-words). I have been having to wait for Sally to harden her nails, not that I tie many flies, but I shall need to get some more done.

Here's  a link to the 20ml bottle, they do a 50ml as well but it's the 20 I've got and it'll do me at least a couple of years and I tie a lot of flies, good bit of info here as well
