Yea it seems Springbank is one of few distilleries doing it right. I think more are taking note and are following the trend. I've got a bottle of cambeltown loch but would love to taste the original 10 year old.

Always wanted to try for the char in loch Lee. It's a species I have yet to tick off in the UK. I've caught them elsewhere but it's a real achievement to catch one back home.

They are certainly a great tourist attraction! 

When we lived in Oban there was a long bend on the Loch Etive shore going east from Connel to Taynuilt. The estate had Highland coos and it was a seriously bad traffic prang hotspot for tourists stopping for holiday photos. Stop on the bend rather than walk back a hundred yards !!

Yes the regeneration has been impressive for sure. It is a special place.

The trees have seeded out and  established well in recent years. A magical place.
I camped nearby aged 12 with the walking club at Dunfermline High School. We went up Macdui, Derry Cairngorm, Cairntoul and Beinn Breach all in a week. That was me truly hooked!!!
