I ordered a copy of this book last . I have been wanting to get a hold of this for some time now. Should get it by the middle of the week. Looking forward to reading it. Anyone know where I can read reviews of this book?

Is that the new book? If so, have you any details (publisher, retailer etc)?

I have seen that reference to a new book on Robin Ade's website for a long time now

I read a book called 'Chalkstreams and Lazy Trout' which I think was by Robin Ade.  A nice book to paw over on a winter's night.

I've got that book and it's quite good but it's Robin Armstrong. Robin Ade wrote the great book "A Season in Galloway" which really is one of the great books.

I was looking at that too since the ''fisher in the hills'' is quite pricey. Think I'll wait till I find a bargain on that one.

I'm in a more fortunate position lately, Steve, she's so heavily pregnant that these things appear insignificant compared to the trials she's going through everyday. I think she views it as rewarding me for putting up with her hormonal ranting. Best not push it though.

Received my copy of Fisher in the Hills today. ?22.50 from an Amazon seller. Only looked just flicked through it so far, looking froward to reading it. The one thing that strikes me right away are the magnificent Illustrations.

"Fisher..." is one of my favourite books - read a library copy back in 1985, just managed to find a copy on Amazon a few weeks ago and read it again for the 2nd time - brilliant book, not hugely PC for the C&R brigade, but I respect the authors honest ethos of catching fish for necessity. Fantastic illustrations too, a real gem.
