It's certainly getting lots of downloads, but it is a lot of work to put together and a bit of a struggle. It's worth it if people are positive and enjoy it.

Next issue will be the most difficult.  ;)

Looking forward to reading it Fred. Now sorting a new laptop replacing a 15 year old whose RAM was completely  stuffed. No question that it takes effort for you to compile these.

Having proper publishing software helps Vaughan. I bought a copy of Affinity Publisher - only about £50 but very professional and slick to use. Getting articles is the tricky bit, this next one will be the hardest with it being spring / summer everyone is busy with other stuff. Word if getting out though, I have started getting inquires for book reviews, press releases etc.

We shall see how it goes.

All writers  old or new welcome   ;)

Thanks Scott. I toned it down a little - the original was more controversial!

It hit the nail on the head. I don't do fishing on social media but I do use Youtube which I consider a bit different.  There is a bit of knob waving goes on, but there is also some superb professional stuff on there as well as offerings from amateurs like myself and Philip.

I have a golden rule – no fishing on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc – no matter how "private" the groups may claim to be. Never lose sight of the basics and basic number one is on these platforms  you are the product, not the customer.

So I don't really know what goes on there but do wonder if they are besieged by trolls like we see on some fly fishing forums. Not mentioning any names of course.
