I already have the four Scottish areas in version 1.0  so this was just an upgrade to the new version 0.6? I think.

I use it to draw out paths and routes for the GPS, download them to the GPS, print out the area I am going to, mark waypoints of something interesting along the way and transfer them to the GPS, check the profile of the routes before and after I go, if I am returning to an area I can download the waypoints I have marked or the whole track if need be so if you find a good campsite I can find it again, you can print out to any scale and the grid is still there so the map can be used with a conventional compass and I don't need to buy a map for every area I go to, although I think I have most of the OS maps for the whole of Scotland somewhere.

As you can see I find it quite useful
