I normally get mine for about £3/ltr sometimes a wee bit cheaper. If you buy it out of a camping/outdoor shop you will pay through the nose for it. I did a search last year and managed to find it for about 70p/litre, but you had to buy in bulk and the carriage was expensive.
Meths is basically ethanol with some other stuff thrown in to make it undrinkable, like methanol and dye. Otherwise it's pretty much pure alchohol, pretty much like Jims homebrew.
