I use that nearly every day, a fantastic product. I can't believe it is free. I just wish I could seamlessly join it up with GIMP - if that was an option it would be the ultimate vector graphics and image editing program. Even if there were some way that they could use the same file format.

You can also import .svg paths into Blender, tho I have never done it with Gimp paths, I have done it with Inkscape ones.   One of the really interesting things is to scan artwork, load the bitmap into Inkscape, and then run the "trace bitmap" feature on it.  This gives you an .svg version of the bitmap.  You then go in and clean up any extraneous control nodes, maybe reshape a few curves to neaten things up, then you can import the result into the 3D app of your choice.

There are plenty of converters for the file formats available. This should work with Windows ( I have only tried it on Linux);
