It hit the nail on the head. I don’t do fishing on social media but I do use Youtube which I consider a bit different.  There is a bit of knob waving goes on, but there is also some superb professional stuff on there as well as offerings from amateurs like myself and Philip.

I have a golden rule – no fishing on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc – no matter how “private” the groups may claim to be. Never lose sight of the basics and basic number one is on these platforms  you are the product, not the customer.

So I don’t really know what goes on there but do wonder if they are besieged by trolls like we see on some fly fishing forums. Not mentioning any names of course.
