The planned stravaig is on the 6th may to the Eigheach and the Gaur. I do not know about boats as it may be a bit shallow in that area. Maybe Fred etc. could give you more info on that front. I usually fish in from the ba end.

All bank or tube on Eigheach. There were boats years ago but some visiting "anglers" set fire to them (or so legend has it anyway).

got a pro action 4 manner from argos today, set it up in the back garden and really looks the part, time will tell though, but it is a 2 skinner and looks as though it wont let water in

Is it the red one with the high door and the door in the back? Not really had it in any bad weather yet but dont fancy it in high winds too much.

no the blue one, dome with porch, looks ok to me and seems to be ok in wind as it was quite windy today here

Im back to using my old tent which has stood upto allsorts including storms on loch awe and three years at T in the P  :lol:

hi stephen,thought you might be intrested in this link for a tent.i am getting one soon for my trips next season.easy to put up and light enough also a good price.and sturdy and well made,plus its green so blends in a bit better not that it helps catching fish.

just buy a fox easy dome, can be put up in 5 seconds , handy if its raining
