Paracord. Get it reasonably priced from the bushcraft uk shops in a multitude of colours and diameters. Great for additional guy lines, tarps etc too.

Ah paracord!

According to Ed China on "Wheeler Dealers" it is great for fitting car windows too.

you're gonna hate this - but I've got some simms ones that are 5 years old. the laces in my skb boots outlasted the boots. but that's not saying much.....

Can these Simms laces be bought separately Dave?   My Orvis laces on my expensive Orvis boots lasted no time at all. Even my crap Airflo boots outlasted the laces and are on their 2nd set which have just broken again.

Incidentally I have never had this issue with walking boots, only wading boots.

corsican dave

yep, but at typically Simms wallet-melting prices....http://www.sportfish.co.uk/simms-wading-boot-laces.html?gclid=CJSaocu47scCFRQUGwodotoB1w

put yer coffee mug down before you open the link!

Actually I expected they would be expensive. Even on FleeBay strong laces cost about the same.

Simms wading boot laces are cheaper at Stephen J Fawcett's in Lancaster. Here is a link

They will do a deal on  most stuff. If you tell them I sent you they will offer you a bit more discount  :D
