There were loads of them up for bidding before Xmas. They are a very good River rod fairly soft great for nymphing..I have a few in different sizes but wouldn't sell them.(sorry) :DI do a lot of french nymphing & the 3wt size is great.Cheers

At that price it  would be a good river nymphing rod and pretty good  for boat loch style too.

It's nymphing I intend to do. I'm watching that one 😂 I'm told there the same blank as the greys stream flex. Thought I would ask here anyway on the off chance Santa had delivered someone a new rod

I have a Mk1 Streamflex 10/4wt & prefere my 10/3wt Streamtec .Yes they are very similar as far as i can tell.

I have the sonik rod in 4 weight. It's nice for short line nymphing/spiders with a softish mid-tip action. I hate stiff tip action rods tho so may not be to everyone's taste.

If you want a 10' rod and not bothered about the manufacturer then this has the same action, can't complain at £29. http://www.garryevans.co.uk/rovex-genesis-10-4-fly-rods---save-50-limited-stocks-9114-p.asp

If you are using the rod for nymphing quite a lot it's worth looking at what weight the rod is.If you are euro nymphing & holding your line of the water all day. Streamtec rods are fairly light might even be lighter than the Streamflex. When windy i drop to my 9/3wt Streamtec love this rod too.10/3wt Streamtec is 93g not bad for a 10ft rod.

If you scroll down the weights are on the table.
Cheers

I have a #4 rod already but want something lighter and softer in the tip. I'm currently watching one streamtec and bidding on another  if I win this'll be rod number 6 and I still have 2 to build  can a man have too many rods?
