Title: September FF+FT
Post by: Wildfisher on August 22, 2006, 02:10:40 PM
Got my copy in the post yesterday. First class article by Bob Wyatt in? it regarding flies, tactics etc. Just goes to prove again? that fly? fishing is really about stopping and thinking? before acting. Difficulty is doing it when you arrive at the waterside. The temptation just to do "what you know works".? Or at least "what you know  works sometimes".? Bob discusses hackled flies – or heavily hackled flies – reminds me of the days when I fished the burns of my? youth and seldom fished any wet? flies other than a Black Spider and a Greenwell's Spider. First thing I used to do with them was rip off most of the hackle.

Good work Bob – a fine article.?
