It is a 70-300mm zoom set at the top end. The pictures are cropped to only have the bird and a little sky as the originals are all sky and very little bird :) They are hand held so there is a LOT of shake :)

Nice Pics Sandy,

Ardbeg & myself saw a red Kite on the Braan ast year, which flows out of Freuchie, maybe they hunt down the river.

They were hunting round the 'Big Hoose' so I think they are living in the trees around there. I saw three that day.
