Hi, re Rivers and Lochs of Scotland.

Everything is with the publisher now and I expect the new edition to be out in November.

All that remians to be done by me is to check the photograph plates - for which my thanks are due to many fourm members, with whom I will be in touch having seen the page proofs.

Many thanks again, guys, for all your kind help and support.

Best wishes

Bruce

I will have copies here, at the same price (incl post and packing) as Amazon, so if anybody wants to order one direct, just give me a buzz -with clear instructions at to exactly how it should be autographed.

Your such a tart Mr Sandison. My instructions... hmmm, now let me see...

"Dear River Chatter,

I hereby acknowledge that your casting, fly tying, trout fishing skills and knowledge of our beautiful Scottish rivers and lochs is superior to my own. As such, I humbly offer you this hard copy version of my new tomb free of charge, despite the indisputible fact that you clearly do not need it.

Your servant,
Bruce"

Well, you did ask!

Seriously, your offer is very generous and I would be delighted to give a copy its rightful place on my shelf.  :D

There was a lovely cardboard package waiting for me at reception as I left work tonight ........... it was ripped open as soon as I set foot in the house.

Mmmmmmm!

This marvelous tome has already achieved the highest accolade possible for a work of non-fiction by taking pride of place on the shelf by the ........err ........ pan!

Oh aye, there is a lovely heads up for t' Wild Fishing Forum and Fred in Bruce's introduction to the edition

Congratulations Bruce for all your efforts!  :applause  :applause

Received my copy today, absolutely fabulous. Problem is I did not order it. It came straight from the publishers too. I had it down as a Xmas pressie for myself too.
Have I some mysterious benefactor? Can't explain this one.

Never thought of that wildibroon but there was no note or anything other than a compliments slip from publishers. Do not think my wee website has that sort of clout.
Still nice thought. Strange.....still good idea I may well do such a thing. Bruce certainly deserves all the plaudits.

PS Just found a "Press Release" leaflet inside cover so you may well be right.

Excuse my ignorance. Is this book in the style of the "Trout Lochs of Scotland" or is it a sort of gazetteer based on OS map numbers and map references?

Oh joy of joys. My copy arrived this morning WOOOHOOO!! Now I shall go about anointing all my fly fishing tackle with the hallowed tome. I shall place my favourite wee box of flies, open, next to the book page with the relevant flies mentioned therein. "Oh Come all Ye Faithfull" shall be sung as an accompaniment.

After sessions of reading and planning, the great work shall be returned to the altar and tabernacle of the Troot.

Thank you Bruce.

Thaks for the info Clan Chief. I think I'll do likewise.

The amount of detailed information in the book is astounding. I think it's Bruce's best book yet and will surely remain unsurpassed as "the bible" for anyone planning fishing in Scotland .

I can answer that  - no just send away. However, I hear Bruce will be at GAC tomorrow?   - So you might be able to buy one from him there?

Finally got my copy. I had to work on Saturday therefore I was unable to get to the GAC to meet Bruce and get him to sign my book. However my wife and son went along to get me a copy. However they didn't get to meet Bruce as by the time they got there he was away. He had left some signed copies for sale though. Looking forward to planning some trips for next year
