The forum reformats some URL's so that they wont work as direct links.  Placing the URL in code tags at least preserves the correct URL.  Just copy and paste the content into your browser address bar. The books are directly downloadable as free PDF's. Just "click" on "PDF".

Nope, doesn't work either! (EDIT; Link changed several times and now works!)The forum software adds code to the URL rendering it non-functional.

OK. Found the trick to do it.  To get it to work you have to use the link like this;

The forum then appends the

Hmm....works as long as you don't edit the post again. If you do you have to edit the links as well.

So, there is a bug in the SMF BBCode parser. It fails to recognise a valid link and appends more stuff which renders the link invalid. Entering an INVALID link, without the

http// works.

Unless you edit and save the post again, in which case you will have to edit the links again.
