Title: Plant ID

Any ideas of this plant we came across on the Bank of the Braan, excuse the handsome fishing dude in the photo, he wouldn't get out of the way :D

Looks like a great mullein (Verbascum thapsus) dying off. They are monocarpic,  or biennial  like foxgloves.

It would sem to be an invasive alien in the USA :)

I also noticed a lot of Verbascum in New Zealand, especially around  the area of the MacKenzie Basin along with  other non natives like thistles. gorse, wild rose and massive brown trout.  :D
