I thought I would share a good news story with you. An angler local to me, Pat Cain was unlucky enough to have his fishing tackle stolen during the winter. He is a disabled chap who fishes regularly, twice a week on the ADAA waters of the Don, just fishing a couple of pools that he can access properly. When this happened, he was quite upset and distressed, and decided that he would not be able to renew his fishing permit for the 2011 season.
Local angler Kenny Cowan heard about this and put out a request for tackle to get donated to this chap, but nothing suitable was found for him, but after a quick chat Kenny and I approached all our local shops and Bains of Aberdeen came to the rescue, donating a new rod and reel to him. I here that he is already back on the river, enjoying his favourite hobby!
