Some photos of a Dipper. There were quite a few on the stretch of the Rotten Calder I walked along on Thursday.

Dippers are always a joy to see on the river.  I like the second photo with the Dipper having a gander underwater.

Shhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! don't tell anyone but the originals of those are even worse than the Buzzard ones. A lot of work in Photoshop went into them :)

The first one was :-

ExposureTime - 1/125 seconds
FNumber - 5.60
ISOSpeedRatings - 400

The second one was:-

ExposureTime - 1/125 seconds
FNumber - 5.60
ISOSpeedRatings - 250

They never seem to stay still long enough. That was one of a trio that were squabling under a bridge as I was crossing which drew my attention to them. The first half dozen shots were of them hiding behind trees :) Those shots were after they came back just as I was about to leave, as soon as they saw me they were off. I took another dozen or so shots of one farther down. I was stalking it from behind trees and bushes catching the odd shot now and again and was slowly getting nearer until some stupid women and their dogs came screaming and crashing through the place, the dogs were quite quiet though :)

These are two of the best from that sequence. Straight from the camera so they could do with a bit of brightening.
