It looks like he got camera shy at the last minute and turned away :)
Try setting the camera to speed priority next time. Set it to the same or slightly faster than the focal length being used and let the camera take care of the rest. Works for me, sometimes :)
It was just a snatch shot through the window. He was pecking away furiously. It will take a few days until he gets used to me.
I just flicked the camera into "sports" mode.
Acouple of hours sitting still, then so did he.

Closest I've ever got to a GSW was when I heard them hammering away in the Croy hill's as a kid.
