Can anyone tell me what this fly is. There were hunners o' them at Camps reservoir today. I'm not too clued up on the entomology stuff. I'm sure most will know on here.

River Chatter

I'll guess - and it is a guess - olive upright spinner.

Clan Ford

That's what it looks like to me too but I'm not so sure if they are a still water species or not :dunno

Fishtales

Looks like you have it right. It looks like an Olive Upright, Rithrogena semicolorata.
Don't worry, be happy.

Carried it in full, then carry it out empty.

I'll go for the same beast.

Probably from the Camps burn? Was that from the top end near the farm Clan Chief?

Alex
Protect the edge.

Clan Chief

No. I was fishing at the South East end where a burn runs in there.
