Really nice ties there Scott. I do need to restock some of my boxes this season but haven't tied a fly for a couple of years now and know the close up eye sight is going to be a shock!

Greenock and District was £50 a season this year. Seems really good value TBH when you count it by the hour compared to other past times and pursuits.
Cheers,
Ian

me and my pal took a membership out for backwater the other day I agree 70 quid is a bit steep for there but plan to fish it a few times so it might work out in the long run, to be honest had more freebies than paying on due to turning up to lintreathen in no one there sometimes with a note on the hut bailiff on the water in when you phoned him his phone was switched off obviously not wanting his fishing disturbed lol, been asked once for a permit only for the guy then to say when I offered him the money he was no longer a member and could not take money, I told him to go away and he did

By the way I have never heard of anyone asking to see permits there

I was a member for a few years Eric but packed up when they hiked the price last year. Was £70 which I thought was too much for the Backwater. Not so bad if you fished Lintrathen as well but that didn't interest me.

Think I will have to take a membership for Lintrathen/ Backwater, at £15 or £17 a day for the Backwater a no brainier if you are up there a few t8mes over the season.

That was bad luck! Must have been cold in that wind. I almost died of exposure when out on my bike today. I've still not been out with the rod, I just can't be bothered with the thought of it.  :(
