I have an old rod which I have had for 30 years. It's a Normark Kunan carbon rod and although I have not used it in anger for a few seasons I still think it's a great rod. Lovely action to it and I am thinking of turning it from a two piece (which was always a pain) to a four piece as a back up for long stravaigs into the hills. I don't think it will change the action of the rod too much.

Question is how easy is it to get suitable ferrules for a carbon rod?

I will be dressing up the cut ends and whip finishing for strength.

I actually have two of these rods. I mentioned to a friend of mine that I had one and he brought in another for me to keep. The good thing about this rod is that all the rod eyes are lined. Something you don't see very often these days.
