These are some short video lessons I did.
Sorry, but the video quality is poor. I think they are useful though for the novice.

Instructions assume right-handed tyers.

Starting the thread..

The half hitch..

The whip finish..

This is the Black and Peacock Spider, in four easy stages.

Selecting and preparing the hackle..

Tying the hackle in..

Should have added to this video that I have stated 6 turns of thread before tying the hackle in, this is to help the novice avoid the problem of "crowding" the head of the fly. With experience you can make less turns, I normally do 1 or 2 at most.

The Body..

Wrapping the Hackle..

Don't know how is missed these  before Dennis -  loneliness of command and pressure of the job I suppose.    :D

Just brilliant.

One small problem I noticed : the videos for selecting and preparing the hackle and tying the hackle in seem to be the same.

Hans

Very useful video's Dennis, and the quality of the video's is better than you presume.
My compliments, well done!
Hans.

Burnie, as has been stated there is nothing wrong with that. I've yet to meet a fish that turned its nose up at a fly just because it didn't come out of a text book.

Dennis,
I was pleased to note that after all that time in the deep south you have not lost your Scottish accent!
