Hi,
I am looking to buy a trekking pole for my camping trip later this year,
can anyone recommend a lightweight telescopic pole?
And where to buy one at a bargain price?
Will one do or should I buy 2?

The one I use is of German make. Can?t remember the name. Calum would be better able to advise. They really do help to reduce the stress  on your legs, by over 30% using two I believe, I just use one as I find two a hassle to carry. With the addition of a lanyard  they would also double as a wading staff.

:)  Hi steve you know I use one,  try Leki they make good ones and you should be able to get one for ?20 or so, I use one only but my missus
uses two and most serious hill walkers use two,but it's horses for courses
but at the rate you fall down you may need threeand a couple of splints :D breac

Calum,

made from fast action, high modulus carbon I hope?

Take a roll of insulating tape, fix a reel to the handle and you will be casting ?tight loops?  with the best of them.

The ultimate, dual purpose travel rod.

Might even get a review in one of the fishing magazines.
