Title: New rod build
Post by: Sandfly on November 24, 2010, 09:55:59 AM
Being a bit bored of not managing to get out for some Grayling and finding tying flies just a necessary evil, I decided to build a rod for a friend who had been nagging for ages to build him one. He wanted a British made blank so went for a Harrison Ballista 9'6'' #6. Not a fast action but more mid to tip. Single leg rings and a Pistachio coloured Harrison reel seat with custom made end piece. Dark blue thread tipped with light blue gives it a simple but clean look.

Very nice Davy how long does the nagging have to last before you start a rod for someone
