Being a bit bored of not managing to get out for some Grayling and finding tying flies just a necessary evil, I decided to build a rod for a friend who had been nagging for ages to build him one. He wanted a British made blank so went for a Harrison Ballista 9'6'' #6. Not a fast action but more mid to tip. Single leg rings and a Pistachio coloured Harrison reel seat with custom made end piece. Dark blue thread tipped with light blue gives it a simple but clean look.
Very nice Davy how long does the nagging have to last before you start a rod for someone
thats a nice looking rod Davy :8).exactly what i was looking for,i thought about building a 9'6" 6# myself but ended up buying a Scott A3 which looks similar to your rod with blue whippings on a grey blank. i shouldnt have been so lazy
