I've got a shop bought Airflo :roll: ghost tip and it's not very good. Just passable on warm days but when it's cold it suffers from the usual problems - so.
I thought about making one myself by doing the following.
1. Take one " Shakey floater " which has seen better days.
2. Buy a clear intermediate 10 ' poly leader.
3. Chop end off floater.
4. Chop fly line end welded loop off of poly leader.
5. Join the two together using a braided sleeve type thingy that you get for braided loops.
Voila, un Ghost tip.
Any thoughts ? I vaguely remember a topic about making a midge tip. Was it along the same lines ?
