I can confirm these are great rods having cast with Davy?s on Saturday. Amazing value for money.

Quote from: SandflyI expected to pay duty on it but when it arrived there was no extra charges at all.

Davy .

My wife has imported stuff from the US many times. She tells me the import duty / VAT thing is a bit of a lottery. You should pay import duty and VAT  on goods over ?18 in value (the includes shipping). Sometimes they just slip though the net. If coming by parcel post this is frequent, if by a carrier you usually get caught every time.

I've also ordered one of the 2 piece rod kits. I ordered the 7' 6" 3 line model. I've wanted to have a go at rod building for a while and this kit should hopefully made it easy!
