Keel is 19", Beam is 6", 1/8 Scale, the original was 12' 6" x 4'.
It is a skiff (flat bottomed) but fitted with a skeg.
The reel is based on an early 1800's model.

Daz's donated mahogany makes for a pretty good scale representation of cork.

The flies were tied by Forumite Hans, size 24 salmon flies!

I'll get no points from the rod builders for my ring whipping, but they ARE whipped on.
But c'mon guys the rod diameter at the tip is 1/64", the line is 6/0 tying thread.

That is a lovely bit of work Ken. :D
She's a beauty alright, Ken. I remember marvelling at the flies and now seeing them in place it looks great. Whoever ends up owning that should be very proud of it.
stunning craftsmanship Ken
Thats some amazing work Ken :D
Absolutely fantastic, completely envious of the work and craft involved in building that, well done.
amazing work there
would love to own that in a troot version :D
Thanks for the kind remarks, much appreciated. I have received an offer for the boat, rod and flees, but rather fancy trying my luck on fleabay. Suggestions as to a reasonable (in your esteemed opinions) reserve prive would be welcome. As would bids, but I should emphasise that this is not a sale in aid of forum funds.
Great craftsmanship, very nicely done. :D
A lovely job.
Have you heard from Hans lately?
