Title: An English fly a Irish fly and a Scottish fly....
Post by: SoldierPmr on April 22, 2014, 10:32:20 PM
I was pondering this evening and I know it might be a bit biast on a Scottish forum when it comes to Wets what do you prefer to fish with English Irish Scottish and which have you had the most luck with.

Personally I seem to have most luck with the Irish fleas though I usually have a kate in my cast the bibio usually gets the fish.

but they're all scottish when you get down to the bottom of it.

like you i like the kate and bibio. i have also started to favour the cruncher flies.

my favorite english wet fly is the black buzzer.

I like a fly that "Can Travel Well" makes no difference from whence it first came.

I have caught more fish on a Wickhams fancy than any other dry, but not sure of it's heritage.
