Title: Dot scot domain
Post by: bibio1 on November 16, 2015, 04:34:35 PM
I fancy getting a dot Scot email address. If I buy the domain I can then have ensure my kids have the same domain address for emails etc.

Has anyone done this? I know there is a monthly charge for hosting etc but what are the pitfalls. Seems too easy hence my wariness.

Cheers

Paul.

Most hosts will give you a cheap package for just email. Try Fasthosts they are pretty reliable.

I tried to get myself one of these the other day.

Whinging.scot

Sadly it was already taken.

Good advice. That's me sorted. As a technical nerd it was very easy.

These .scot domains are a bit overpriced imo @  £29 / year.

You get 5.emails. my kids are doing various applications now and katiekutiepie is not the best name for an email.
So kills a number of birds with one stane.

To be honest they are much of a muchness in terms of cost. My email address couldn't be simplier.

Exactly what I have done. I think it's a great idea and an easy email address to remember as long as you remember your name.

Do you ever have any issues with non delivery of email or indeed non receipt.

Cheers

some interesting possibilities there.

Unsurprisingly, planet.earth is already taken.
