If people don't occasionally walk away from you shaking their heads, you're probably doing something wrong - John Gierach

Very tempted because it's a bargain....sort of!
I got a new 7wt salmon fly rod for Xmas, 11'6 but a standard 7# reel isn't big enough, I'd be loathe to order one online without trying it with the rod only to have to send it back

A lot of money for something that's just for holding your fly line.

Totally agree but like dave I'm a self confessed and complete and utter gear slut

Robbie

In this case holding flyline is surely an added bonus  :D

Good deal- especially as they come from the USA with the dollar rate id imagine sportfish are selling at a loss.

However the 5/6 is £300 which is nuts for a reel youd use for trout. In reality you dont really need a Tibor drag system till you get into bigger saltwater fish like tarpon or tuna, nice to have  though..

I'm just doing a bit of leg pulling Robbie.

"It's only for holding your line" is the usual cry -   which of course it is if fishing for bandies.    :D

And if it doesn't fit the rod it's the perfect excuse for another new rod!
