Title: Diawa tip section stockist?
Post by: SoldierPmr on June 15, 2018, 07:05:09 PM
Does any one know any good stockists for Diawa. I was out earlier and a piece of knot weed caught my tip section on my true flight whilst I was walking and snapped it. I've had the rod for years and would like to buy a new section rather than a new rod.

Thanks in advance guys.

They used to be quite good at sending replacements. I know of a few that went to the factory in Wishaw and got replacements free, but that was quite a few years ago :)

I mind as a school boy my old man taking me over to Wishaw on the off chance that they would fix my spinning reel that was broken.  Bit of a trek from Clydebank especially through rush hour. One of the guys on the factory floor came out to see us, replaced the reel with a newer model, gave me a spool of Super Shinobi line and a wee box of spinners!  That is service. No idea if they are still open these days.

That would be the sales team. Pity you can't go yourself and see the storeman, I bet he could find one. It was the old storeman that used to hand out the discontinued lines when anyone went in person. Probably changed days now though.
