After nearly boiling alive on the walk back from my local water today, I decided I need some breathable waders, any ones I should avoid like the plague and any moderately priced ones to recommend? I prefer stocking foots and could probably do with some new boots too, studded and not felt soled as I really don't like them.

Saw these on John Norris website looks a great deal for guidleline waders 80 quid down form 200. No personal experience of them but their stuff is usually good. Also selling greys strata that I have got and they're decent for the money and minimum of Seams so less to go wrong. Think they're 100. I don't rate the greys boots though, they looked good but they don't last.

If you want to go down the expensive route these are a good price at 150. Make a "best offer" they've been on a while! Got a pair of Simms boots last year after going through all sorts, really good and durable.

Stay away from the snowbee prestige. I've seen 6 pairs leak after a month.

The same supplier does Bison chesties plus boots as an offer.

Tried the bison waders and found that they were too tight around calf's.  Did not like the fit, others of a sturdy build have not had a problem with them.  Makes me wonder if the quality control is lacking.

I've went for Orvis encounter waders this year, I was out in the heat walking miles last week and they were great, superb fit as the come in long and short legs. Wont break the bank either at £170.

Is it Orvis that do a life time guarantee?
