Title: A useful planning tool
Post by: bushy palmer on March 17, 2015, 09:15:34 AM
Not sure if I'm telling you anything new here but you can currently install Google Earth Pro for free.

It's extremely handy for planning those treks into the unknown by allowing you to record your own 3D flyover tours.

Download http://www.google.co.uk/earth/download/gep/agree.html (http://www.google.co.uk/earth/download/gep/agree.html)

On the login window enter your Google email address in the Username field then use GEPFREE in the licence key field.

To record your 3D Flyover tour click the Icon here:

Two icons will appear in the bottom left. Click the left hand one to start recording your tour. The icon to the right is for recording your own voice over narrative.

You can use the mouse controls as normal but you'll get a smoother video by using the controls on the right to move around the terrain.

When you're done, click the record button again to stop recording. You can then save your tour.

Yes that's pretty good. Just the other week I had two nice fish at A   and Alex had a lovely one at B

I recognize every turn of the river there.

Aye it's strangely addictive- I've spent a fair bit of time "flying" over some past successes :D

It is addictive, I could waste many anal hours on this.

I can tell this is not an up to date photo because the river has changed a bit. The tree on the beach marked with an arrow now has water running to true right bank side of  it as I have marked where the river has cut through.  :8)

Just had a look at my hoose, the images are about 11 years old.

I just checked my old house. I'd agree with that, at least 10 years old.
