Title: Powerlines, edited by Dexter Petley
Post by: corsican dave on April 14, 2010, 11:13:07 PM
picked this up in ullapool last week. excellent!

the blurb on the cover says "an anthology of exceptional writing, which just happens to have fishing in it, on it, of it: for readers who crave good contemporary writing of any kind"

if that doesn't whet your appetite, apparently "dexter petley lives in a caravan in normandy, surviving on organic permaculture, mushroom hunting, rainwater, foraging winter fuel and old birds' nests to decorate the wattle sides of his dry toilet"

contributors include andrew greig and david profumo, and i can assure you it's a rattling good read. not for the faint-hearted or die-hard traditionalist, though. even so, there's more than enough wild trout fishing to keep you all happy; alongside carp-stealing gangs from london, drug-taking and prostitution.

it's published by two ravens press, ullapool at ?10.99

enjoy :8)
