.........I`ve not got a scooby when it comes to computers, ipads, interweb etc. ......just saying.
Edit:- However, I am a practical self reliant man.......just saying.
Doesn't make you a bad person :) There are those that are interested and those that aren't. You have the same with rugby, politics, football and lots of other things....just saying :8)
You don't have to know how it works to use it but it helps to know someone who does when it goes wrong. I have been interested in loads of things over the years and computing and all that goes with it is just one of them. I like to know how things work, what makes them do what they do and what I can do to make them easier to understand. I've always been like that even at school I would work out ways to do mathematical sums that made them easy and then get marks deducted for not putting down the steps I was supposed to tale to get the answer :)
It creeps up on you and before you know it you have all the things that you thought were daft when they first came on the scene. I seldom watch tv but there are four in the house, three DVD players and cable in every room  I go into the hills and take a digital camera, two video cameras, a GPS and mobile phone, which is turned off and the battery removed; did you know the battery runs down even when the phone is switched off? ; nothing worse than finding out it is dead when you need it, which is on the way home to let SWMBO know I am still living :)
Most people go through life the same way. If we were all the same it would be a boring world to live in :)
This is one reason for keeping up.
