Nice job. Nice neat tying there. Get a black and orange bucktail and do a dozen more of those in in that style in different sizes and you will never be found wanting for an effective salmon fly.

Came from a new book called Fly Fishing for Salmon by Allan Sefton who waxes lyrical about red and yellow flies for early season. Anything which will help me catch a salmon in 2016!

When I fished the Earn regularly these were my favourite flies. The green body is metal selotape :)

I started tying up some salmon flies last night.

Never really given it a go before but I need to head up to Somers at lunchtime for some black bucktail.
Its the only colour I don't have.
