Dark Red Tag

A post earlier got me thinking about variants to standard dressings. Here is a simple Red Tag variant that has been good to me on wee burns. Nothing special just a Red Tag with a natural black black hen hackle.
Just a wee change now & again to standard pattern gives that wee bit of difference. See Green Tailed Kate posting.

This example tied on a 16 but 14s & 12s are useful too.

Not unlike the black version of the Ke-He!
I think the "blacking-up" treatment suits flies for fishing small burns with a lot of terrestrial action.

Pedantic of course, (it's the devil in me  :devil;) but I'd call it a Black and Peacock spider variation  :lol:
