I have been given a whole Jay but am wondering what to use the feathers for and which parts are worth keeping, and which parts if any to discard?

cheers

Inchlaggan

The blues on the wing are the most valuable.
Ken
'til a voice as bad as conscience,
rang interminable changes,
on an everlasting whisper,
day and night repeated so-
"Something hidden, go and find it,
Go and look beyond the ranges,
Something lost beyond the ranges,
Lost and waiting for you,
Go."

Black-Don

The blue's are great as head / throat hackle's on bumbles etc,.

I wish the flee tying night wasn't so far away from me. It sounds like a quality way of spending a winters evening with forumites.I was going to post a thread for a tying night a wee bit further South but didn't know if anyone would be interested.

stick a thread up and see, wont hurt you to test the water. The more things like this we can get going the better
