just a thought for anyone who's after new fly tying scissors, I bought a pair of these a few weeks back and they have been a pleasure to use and didn't cost a fortune.I'm not comparing them to more expensive branded fly tying scissors since Ive never had a pair but they do seem to work well.

They certainly look very fine pointed - and you can't go much wrong at under a fiver for them. Think I'll take a punt on a pair, cheers Brian  :)

I also noticed cheap surgical scissors in boots last week but did not have time to have a proper look at them.

Last week I bought a set of thread snips from Tescos. Small orange plastic snips that work much the same as sheep shearing scissors. Only about ?2.
