Later today i will be tying some large goldhead patterns with these strips for a cast at the early season troot,Having never fished these type of patterns in the past they look like the strips would hold a lot of water and be heavy to cast.Would they be easily cast on a six outfit with a stiff leader to aid turnover.Thanks.

I tend to fish leaded zonkers earlier season they are heavy but I don't have any issues on a 7# with a 6 to 8lb leader so I can't imagen a 6# being too different.

Chuck n duck Chris :-)
They do hold water but I'm sure you'll cast them fine on a 6wt.
Hope you're well.
Cheers

Also make sure you give them a very good dry before putting them back in the box, I made this mistake and ended up with lots of rusty hooks. They seemed dry but must have been holding a lot of moisture in the leather, I now leave them on a radiator for a while to dry out.
