Did any flytyers amongst you read todays Sunday Post? An article about possible new legislation concerning the use of furs.Try www.sundaypost.com/news4.htm if you missed it.

It is a stupid EU law as usual. I have fur and feathers in my kit that are 30 years old, how do I prove that? The police have enough to do without this so they will probably just ignore it, unless of course you get caught speeding with your fly boxes or fly tying kit in the boot :)

Actually, I don't think it is any big deal. It only applies to certain protected species like Otters and Dormice

All species of bat, Large Blue Butterfly, Wild Cat, Dormouse, Sand lizard, Great Crested
Newt, Otter, Smooth Snake, Sturgeon, Natterjack Toad, Marine Turtles, and all species of
Whale, Dolphin and Porpoise.
