Line for fishing streamers on rivers

For river streamers fishing I have been using a #5 rod with a short #6 wet cel II shooting head coloured dark green with a #2 level floater behind it as shooting line.
That's worked for me to my own satisfaction for many years now for brown trout resident in the stream.

I have a heavier #7 rod and similar setup with #8 ST where the trout or seatrout are migrating in and something large is going to turn up once in a while.
